No Loan Move On Cards For OTJ

Owain Tudur Jones does not seem set for a move away from the Liberty - that's the view of his manager anyway

The Swansea City and Wales midfielder has hinted on more than one occasion that it may be the right thing to do in look away for a loan move but that has effectively been ruled out by Roberto who would prefer to keep him at the club.

And Martinez believes that Owain is getting too distracted by the Wales situation - he is unlikely to get call ups if not featuring in the first team

Speaking to the Evening Post, Roberto said "Owain has been distracted too often by the Wales situation

"He has been called up when he wasn't playing for his club, when he was injured, and that can put some doubts in your head.

"Every time he isn't playing for Swansea he is getting concerned about his Welsh career and that is wrong.

"Nobody should be thinking that far ahead, you should be concentrating on your daily work.

"There's nothing wrong with Owain expressing his feelings

"He has had two difficult seasons with injuries and obviously he would love to see himself playing week in, week out.

"But sometimes in football it takes time to get to 100 per cent in all areas.

"Physically Owain is 110 per cent now, but sharpness, decision-making and tactical awareness will come with a little bit of time.

"Owain is a great professional — he is always a 10 in training — and he is also a special man," he added.

"He is a fantastic talent who I see playing a massive role for Swansea City.

"I want Owain to be happy and I speak with him often enough to know how he feels.

"Everyone wants play well in every game, but that's not football.

"If you look back, Owain has been improving every day since we came back for pre-season and that's what I'm looking at.

"At the moment, sending him out on loan is not something I am considering."
