Bolton boss Gary Megson expects to complete three signings in the next few days, one of which could be Ferrie Bodde
The Trotters expect to complete the signings by the end of the week; the question is, whether one of them is Bodde?
Megson has long been an admirer of Bodde, with Wanderers having seen two bids - worth £2m and £3.5m - rejected this summer.
The Evening Post suggests that Bolton are closer to signing the Dutchman, although there hasn't been any talk of a fee being agreed between both clubs.
"We're really close to getting three transfers sorted, and we need them, because this squad is nowhere near strong enough," Megson told the Bolton News.
"Phil Gartside has got a list of players who I feel would strengthen us, and there are also the names of players who we'd allow to leave the club, but we've got to get a lot busier if that's to happen.
"This is going to be a vitally important transfer window for us if we intend to move forward, and ideally I'd like to be a bit further down the road than we are right now."
