Swans In Link With Sheffield United Striker

The Evening Post is linking the Swans with a move for Sheffield United striker David Cotterill

It is not the first time Swansea City have been linked with a move for the player - he was a reported target during the eign of Roberto Martinez before he joined the Blades from Wigan.

It was £2m that took Cotterill to what was then the JJB stadium when he joined from Bristol City but since then it has been a very stop start career for the Welsh striker who has managed just three starts this season under Kevin Blackwell.

And that lack of action has prompted reported interest from Swansea amongst other clubs and certainly appears to fit the bill in terms of what many would say that we need in a new front man.

The paper also reports the Swans in being interested in making a move for Neil Taylor - a left back from Wrexham who has also been the subject of reported interest from several Championship clubs.

The Post reports "The 20-year-old has consistently impressed for Brian Flynn's Wales Under-21 side and already has almost 70 club appearances under his belt.

"Swansea are understood to have watched St Asaph-born Taylor on a number of occasions and they are now considering whether to make a move.

"The youngster is out of contract at the end of this season, and would probably take only a small fee to bring him to South Wales."

Swansea City have made no comment on either player.
