Wigan "Launch" Bid For Britton

24 hours after linking Paulo with Hull, the Daily Mail link Britton with Wigan

This one was just a matter of time before a paper once again reported stories they have been running in the last two transfer windows.

Britton is out of contract at Swansea City this summer and has yet to pen any new deal at the club.   Therefore logic applies to link him with his former club and add to the Swansea City clone team that Roberto is assembling in the North West.

The story contains no definite quotes from any sources connected to either club but it has long since been accepted that Roberto would like to take Britton to Wigan.

In an attempt to add fuel to the fire, stories like this always sound better if there is a "fight" for the player and Burnley and Brian Laws are also linked although their impending relegation to the Championship is reported as making this unlikely.

If you were to look at a truth rating of 1-10 for newspaper stories this would undoubtedly have a higher rating than Paulo and Hull but at the moment Leon would hopefully be concentrating on the two games ahead of him and can put his future talks with Wigan - or anybody else - on hold for 10 days or so minimum.

More column inches filled.
