Bobby granted transfer request
Dale striker Bobby Grant has had a transfer request accepted by the club, and is officially placed on the transfer list.
In a surprising move by the club, a statement was released on Monday afternoon saying that the club had reluctantly accepted the transfer request and that his name will be circulated to other clubs. A fee will be sought for the services of the former Accrington striker.
Dale boss Keith Hill admitted that the request had first been made at the back end of last season, whilst suggesting that there may have been an attempt by a rival manager to tap Grant up.
Grant finished last season as top scorer for Dale with sixteen goals in a spell that also saw him miss eight matches through suspension. He also has an appearance at Snaresbrook Crown Court on July 15th facing a charge of racially aggravated harrassment.
