.....and Rangers make it four

If Brian McDermott is bemoaning the lack of cash-flow at Elland Road, hopefully the news that our home game against QPR has been moved for the benefit of the telly will bring some much needed pennies into the Leeds United coffers.

The game on August 31st has been moved back to a 12:15 kick-off so it can be shown on Sky. August sees us on the telly a total of three times now, our visit to Leicester on August 11th will be shown (kick off 16:30) and Sheffield Wednesday is also live on August 17th - kick off 12:15.

Arguably the game against Sheffield Wednesday would have been an early kick-off on Police advice anyway due to the animosity between the two clubs, so we may as well make a few quid out of it.

Obviously the attraction of QPR appeals to the TV people, but lets hope it does not deter too many casuals from strolling up to the turnstiles last minute or put off visiting fans making the long trip north from London for a lunchtime kick-off.

The other rearranged game is Wigan on December 4th at home, which was put back 24 hours. On this occasion this is an indirect result of television at the Latics will be wowing Channel 5's viewers in the Europa league on the Thursday night which means they will play Derby on Sunday December 1st.

Maybe this will work in our favour given our shocking form on a Tuesday night?

Annual accounts show that the club will have to sell players if we don't go up
The club released the annual accounts for the 2022/3 season this week, and despite the headline figure of an overall loss of £33.7 million, we’re not in danger of any points deduction for now. But the accumulated losses mean that player sales will be inevitable in the summer if we remain in the Championship.
