Predict Plymouth v Dale

Whether you're going to the game or not, we want your prediction for this weekend's game as Dale make the long journey to Devon to take on Plymouth Argyle.

Devon may not be the happiest of hunting grounds for Dale, but we've lost just one of our last five visits to Plymouth with a couple of wins during that time. A Gary Jones goal was enough to secure the win in 2011, and he was on the scoresheet ten years earlier when we picked up a 2-1 win.

If you've never played it before, it's incredibly simple. You predict what you think will be the final score and who (if any) will be our first goal scorer on the day. To register, all you need to do is log into the site.

Points are awarded in the following way: If you predict the result of a match accurately (eg. 3-1) you get 3 points plus a bonus of the number of goals in that game (eg. 3+1 = bonus of 4). Otherwise, if you just correctly predict the outcome correctly (ie. home win, draw or away win) you get one point. Finally, if you guess the correct first scorer for your team then you get 2 points.

We're three games in so far, with three leaders at the top with 442Dale, ColDale and WooWooDale all with ten points. The full Prediction League table can be viewed here.

You can change your prediction as many times as you like up until kick off, so even last minute change of first scorer on Saturday when team news filters through are allowed.

Annual accounts show that the club will have to sell players if we don't go up
The club released the annual accounts for the 2022/3 season this week, and despite the headline figure of an overall loss of £33.7 million, we’re not in danger of any points deduction for now. But the accumulated losses mean that player sales will be inevitable in the summer if we remain in the Championship.
Stuart Dallas thanks the fans as tributes pour in
Stuart Dallas battled hard for two years to return to the game after his serious injury, but has now had to accept that he can no longer get back to the level of fitness needed to play the game at the top level. Leeds frustrated by well-drilled Sunderland
We needed to win this game to regain the momentum that seemed to have gone over the international break, but this was another pedestrian performance, without any of the intensity that was needed to break down a determined Sunderland defence.
