Saints V Liverpool Selected For TV

Saints fixture at Anfield on the opening day of the season will be one of the live games broadcast by Sky Sports meaning a change of kick off time.

Saints will not be playing at 3pm on the opening Saturday of the season, but as of yet it has not been confirmed just when they will be playing, but it will be changed for Sky TV Coverage.

Bt Sport are apparently taking Manchester United V Swansea City with Sky taking our match at Liverpool, Man City at home to Newcastle, Chelsea's trip to Burnley and Arsenal V Palace .

I would imagine that Sky will show one game on the Saturday, three on the Sunday and their usual Monday night spot.

So disruption for Saints is inevitable with the hope that we are not the Monday night match as this will make it hard for the large number of Saints fans to attend who would have gone if played over the weekend.

The fact that the fixtures came out a month ago and it has taken them this long to sort out and they still havent worked out exact timings shows how little the TV companies care for the supporters, not just in timings but in the fact that the fans have to make travel arrangements and prices on trains etc go up the nearer the date of travel gets.

Apparently there will be an announcement either today (monday) or on Tuesday but there is no specific time to even announce this.

Annual accounts show that the club will have to sell players if we don't go up
The club released the annual accounts for the 2022/3 season this week, and despite the headline figure of an overall loss of £33.7 million, we’re not in danger of any points deduction for now. But the accumulated losses mean that player sales will be inevitable in the summer if we remain in the Championship.
