Fab's Feet Firmly On The Ground

Lucasz Fabianski was clearly a man talking sense as he put away the hysteria that has followed our season opening win at Old Trafford and he is already focusing on the next games - all of which are at home.

The Swans face Burnley and West Brom in the league with a Capital One Cup tie against Rotherham sandwiched in between them in a seven day period starting next Saturday before taking a break for the first international break of the season.

And with all three games looking extremely winnable we have the chance to turn that into a perfect start to the season after we upset the odds on Saturday with a 2-1 victory against the most decorated team in English football history.

Fabianski, who signed for the Swans this summer on a free transfer from Arsenal, though said that Saturday's result will only become great if they win their home games which is true enough with our points tally definitely in credit against what we expected after one game of the season.

"We have to make it great by winning the home games," he said.

"The important thing is to not get too excited about this and prepare ourselves for the home games.

"I just hope we put in a good effort in training and prepare ourselves well for the next game and take maximum points in the next home game."

The words of Fabianski are absolutely spot on. We enjoyed all the credit we got for winning at Old Trafford but we must now back that up and make these home games count and we could easily head into the international break at the head of the Premier League if we do follow Saturday's win by securing our best Premier League start yet.

Go back two years and we won our opening two games before dropping points in the 3rd to stand on 7 points from 9 but this time around we have a brilliant chance to eclipse that tally and get three successive wins under our belt with games that we really should be targeting as wins during the course of the season.

"We are very, very pleased with the start and hopefully we're going to continue like that in the coming games." added Fabianski when talking to BBC Sport.

There are still tickets left for the Swans clash against Burnley on Saturday although many are just individual tickets.
