Sadio Mane Now Confirmed

Saints made it a big transfer deadline day when they landed both of the intended targets after confirming that Sadio Mane had also joined the club.

Mane joins fro Red Bull Salzburg and has signed a four year deal, the 22 year old Senegalese player has scored 45 times in only 87 appearances for the club and if he lives up to the billing given by Ronald Koeman then it could be an excitig time.

Speaking to the Club's official site

Ronald Koeman said: "Right from the first meeting I had with Les Reed, when it was clear that we would have to change a lot, Sadio was on our list of potential players.

"I know the player because last season Ajax Amsterdam played against Red Bull Salzburg in Europe, and I saw him playing and I was impressed with his qualities and with the physicality that he showed.

"He can play in different positions in the attack — he can play on the left or right side and also as a number nine. It is incredible how many goals he has scored from his position, and I hope that he will do the same for us.

"With the way that we play and the fact that I know him very well, this is a good step forward for him.”

Like a lot of Koeman signings Mane seems to be a versatile player and Saints now seem to have a lot of options in all positions now with a lot of the signings able to play in more than one position.

Leeds crush Norwich to cruise through to play-off final

Farke happy with the result after bore draw at Norwich
Many neutrals have complained on social media that yesterday’s game at Norwich City was a bit on the dull side, but the Leeds team wasn't set up to please them. For us it was the result that mattered, and it should leave us in a better position to get through to the final.
