Now that the dust has settled over the Milanic sacking, we must move on to the really crucial issue from Saturday's defeat by Wolverhampton Wanderers. Why were most of our squad wearing ridiculous flourescent coloured boots?
From memory I think it was:-
Pink Boots - Silvestri, Berardi, Bellusci, Bianchi
Various shades of Yellow - Montenegro, Mowatt, Murphy, Adryan, Sloth
Good old fashioned black boots - Pearce, Warnock, Cook, Antenucci, Morison.
I was so uninspired by our second half performance that my mind started to drift off and start to wonder what the colour scheme could possibly be.
Could it be that the English players were bearing black, while the foreigners wore coloured boots? Maybe, but then Mowatt and Antenucci would be the wrong way round. Were the hard men of the team wearing black boots while the fancy dans wore colours? Possibly, but that wouldn't take account of Beradi's occasionally reckless tackling.
And as Murphy came on for Mowatt while Adryan replaced Sloth, do we have a rule that a substitute is only allowed to replace a player with the same colour boots?
At least we can say that four of the Italians wore pink boots for easy identification, while other nationalities have to wear yellow.
So what exactly is the colour scheme? I think we should be told.
