22 - Tom Heaton

QPR signed goalkeeper Tom Heaton on loan from Manchester United at the start of the 2009/10 season to cover for Radek Cerny following the departure of Lee Camp.

DOB - 15/04/88
Height - 6ft 1ins
Weight - 13st 6lbs
Contract - December 2009 (loan)

QPR signed promising young Man Utd goalkeeper Tom Heaton on a half season loan deal in August 2009 as cover for Radek Cerny. The R's had earlier allowed second choice goalkeeper to sign for Championship rivals Nottingham Forest and after missing out on the permanent signing of Andy Marshall who had been released by Coventry turned to Heaton to provide cover and competition for the veteran Czech.

Heaton, an England youth international, is yet to break through into the senior team at Old Trafford but does have experience of the Football League from two loan deals. He spent time in league One with Swindon Town in 2005/06 and then got a taste of the Championship with 24 games at Cardiff City in 2008/09 during which his form was said to be mixed.

Made his England Under 21 debut in march 2008 against Poland as a second half sub for Joe Hart.
