Aston Villa And West Ham Watching Bartley?

Aston Villa and West Ham United are both rumoured to be watching the progress of Kyle Bartley as they look to strengthen their defences ahead of the new season.

Bartley has made just 18 appearances for the Swans in the three years since he signed for the club from Arsenal after loan spells at Sheffield United and Rangers.

He is certainly - as it stands - the fourth choice centre back at the club behind captain Ashley Williams, Federico Fernandez and Jordi Amat so game time is certainly going to be limited for him in the coming season bar some injury worries that we all hope doesn't happen.

So you can see just why the rumour mill will see him as a prime suspect for a move away from the club and maybe a little moreso with the Swans having been linked with moves for central defenders themselves this summer.

Fernandez has been rumoured to potentially be a target for Valencia this summer which is one to keep an eye on and would impact on any decision that the Swans may make over Bartley whilst Villa and West Ham are being linked themselves with other players so this could just be a case of interest being talked up but never actually gets followed through at any stage?

Bartley made 7 Premier League appearances last season as well as 3 in cup competitions although he only made one appearance following his red card at Blackburn in the FA Cup.

Not sure this one has a great deal of mileage in it but we will see.

But the accumulated losses mean that player sales will be inevitable in the summer if we remain in the Championship.
