Super Super Tom....Super Tom Adeyemi

Uwe Rosler set to raid Cardiff for a second time? Has he lined up Rudy's replacement?

Cardiff City have confirmed that 23-year-old, six foot one midfielder Tom Adeyemi is set to sign for Leeds United initially on-loan with the view to a three-year permanent deal next summer.

Described as a "powerful box-to-box" midfielder, have Leeds unearthed Rudy Austin's replacement?

Uwe Rosler took the player on loan at Brentford in 2013, one of several loan spells the player had whilst at his first club Norwich. Having also played for Oldham and Bradford on loan, after Norwich the player switched to Birmingham City where he is pictured here playing against us in 2014.

Last summer, then Cardiff boss Ole Gunnar Solksaer paid Brum reportedly £1m to take the player to South Wales. However the move doesn't appear to have worked out for him and clearly he isn't rated that highly by Russell Slade.

Having already taken Charlie Horton from the fallen Welsh giants, Adeyemi who can play for Nigeria or England is set to be our second raid on the Valleys and according to my eldest lad some of their fans are not happy at seeing him go (albeit on Twitter).

He certainly sounds like someone of the Austin mould, big and powerful in midfield. According to his stats, he doesn't score too many goals, just one for Birmingham and one for the Bluebirds but it looks like we've got an established, proven Football League midfielder who's still only 23 and we look forward to seeing him step-up to the void left by Rudy Austin....."shoooooooooooooot!"

Annual accounts show that the club will have to sell players if we don't go up
The club released the annual accounts for the 2022/3 season this week, and despite the headline figure of an overall loss of £33.7 million, we’re not in danger of any points deduction for now. But the accumulated losses mean that player sales will be inevitable in the summer if we remain in the Championship.
