Oliver McBurnie scored the only goal of the game last night as the Swans Under-21 team recorded their first victory of their Category one season at Brighton.
McBurnie scored his first goal since his summer move from Bradford and immediately declared that it does not get better than that
One game, one goal, one win is as good as it gets,” said McBurnie. "It was a goal straight off the training ground - Raheem (Hanley) crossed a nice ball into the area and I have managed to get on the end of it.
"It was not the prettiest of wins but the boys have dug in, kept the ball well, played some nice stuff and I think we deserved the victory."
Meanwhile head of coaching David Adams was just as happy to see the youngsters get their first win
"I am pleased we are off the mark,” Adams said. "If you can get a win early in the season it breathes confidence into the squad.
"There are lots of positives to take from the game - we were competitive throughout and controlled large periods along with getting a deserved goal through Oliver McBurnie, who took his chance really well."
