Home form comes into Fratton focus

Paul Cook admits Pompey need to 'get organised' and start picking up more points at Fratton Park.

They've taken eight out of a possible 15 at home - three less than from the same number possible on the road.

Tuesday's 2-1 defeat at home to Exeter left the Blues with only two home wins (and two draws) from those five home games. And Cook says it's important to bounce back with a win when Yeovil visit on Saturday.

Cook told The News: ‘I thought we played well against Exeter. We did all right. The lads can’t be disappointed 10 games in with where we are.

‘If we had lost away at Luton or Plymouth and won a couple more at home to have the same amount of points, everyone would be happy. Unfortunately our home form is a little bit of an Achilles heel. We have got to get organised straight away.

‘I don’t think it actually is but on paper it looks that way, because of our results. Barnet was obviously a good win but there were two draws before that. Still, we are here on Saturday to put a good win together and give everyone a lift.

‘If we can bounce back the likelihood is we are up and running again.’
