Saints To Sign Dundee United Youngster

Reports in Scotland are saying that Saints are about to sign Dundee United's Kieran Freeman in the next few days.

Don't get too excited though as Freeman has only just turned 16 and can now sign his first professional contract, so is perhaps not going to feature in the first team too soon.

The youngster is highly rated in Scotland and that reputation has filtered through to England, Manchester United had down for a training session a couple of years ago and he now looks set to head South of the border to Saints.

Dundee United will be disappointed that his first professional contract will not be for them, however the blow will be softened with a development fee that is being said to be five figures.

A right back who can also play in the centre of defence or in midfield Freeman is being reported to be signing for Saints by the local papers in Dundee who presumably have a little insider knowledge.

Saints fans will hope that Freeman will be as good as James Ward Prowse, Callum Chambers of Luke Shaw all of whom broke into the first team at a similar age as he will attain in the coming season..
