Leeds United are, according to the dependable Phil Hay of the Yorkshire Evening Post, in the process of concluding a deal that will see the club sign Dutchman Ouasim Bouy.
The journalist made the news known to Leeds supporters on his Twitter account earlier today. He first made clear United's efforts to secure the signature of the player before adding that Leeds are anxious for Bouy to be farmed out on loan - once a deal has been acceded.
Bouy, a 24 year-old who hails from Amsterdam, formerly represented his nation of birth at youth level, making 28 appearances and scoring on four occasions for Holland's under-17 and under-19 squads.
Having spent the formative years of his youth career with AFC Ajax, Bouy signed for Serie A behemoth Juventus in 2012; he would make a solitary appearance for the club, being frequently loaned to an eclectic array of teams ranging from Hamburger SV of Germany to Panathinaikos of Greece.
Most recently, Bouy spent both the 2015-16 and 2016-17 campaigns with Eredivisie side PEC Zwolle on a loan basis prior to his inevitable release from Juventus this summer. He has since been earmarked as a potential star of the future by Leeds' scouting department, though the club perceive him not to have the ability required to compete for a first-team place in the forthcoming season.
As the player is now ineligible to feature for United's development squad, the Leeds management are keen for the player to be farmed out on loan so as for him rediscover potential by receiving regular first-team football. Once he has signed for the Whites, Bouy is thus expected to be loaned to one side in particular - Cultural Leonesa of Spain's second tier.

Bouy, who can function as both a central defender and a holding midfielder, is expected to link up with Leonesa on a season-long loan, with his position at Leeds to be evaluated upon his return.
