Max Watters returning to Cardiff indicates MK Dons making room for player exchanges & loans
Both MK Dons and Cardiff City have agreed that Max Watters should return to his parent club with MK Dons. They keen to free up a salary and make space for new loans. Our sources inform us that Watters didn’t have a bad time at MK, but other players on the horizon for the club meant he had to return to Cardiff.
With Andrew Fisher almost done between MK Dons and the swans it now seems there has to be other business yet to be concluded between the two clubs ( MK and Swansea ) To enable this MK Dons need to free up a few positions. It would be easy to speculate on who these new MK players will be, but the swans are keen to agree player exchanges to prevent huge transfer fees this January. It’s the time of year when agreements for players are more than likely to be loans as opposed to permanent transfers. It suits both trading clubs when this happens, especially with relationship building for future deals and transfers.
Swansea City have Yan Dhanda and Liam Walsh available for potential midfield deals, Rhys Williams looks like he will be returning to Liverpool with the swans ‘reportedly’ keen on Harry Darling and Matt O’Riley. At the back Brandon Cooper wants more game time, but has been offered a glimmer of hope with Williams expected to leave. It’s a juggling act but MK Dons would be very pleased to see a few new faces from the swans squad in their match day eleven.
It’s all up in the air, well from an outsiders point of view, but there will be news this week on signings as January kicks off in earnest.
