West Ham Have Injury Issues Ahead Of Trip To Southampton
With a game in the Europa League to play on Thursday night ahead of the trip to St Mary's on Sunday, West Ham manager David Moyes already has issues that may reduce his squad for the game against Saints.
Main concern for Moyes is former Saints loanee Mikail Antonio, the 32 year old striker who scored in a 3-1 win against Fulham at the weekend has not trained this week due to illness and is likely to miss the home game against Anderlecht in the Europa League and is a doubt for the trip to Southampton.
The West Ham boss had this to say ahead of the game tomorrow evening:
"I think most of the players are fine, Micky Antonio has had a wee bit of cold, or the flu, which has kept him out of training a day or two. We’re a little bit unsure on him. We’ve got a couple of knocks and niggles but hopefully, he will be okay."
Meanwhile, Moyes also gave injury updates on centre-back Nayef Aguerd and former Burnley winger Maxwel Cornet, who both also missed training with respective ankle and calf issues. And Moyes has confirmed that both are due to miss the Anderlecht game and Sunday’s trip to Southampton, but could be back in training after that.

Leeds crush Norwich to cruise through to play-off finalWith our recent form being what it was, I was expecting a nervy encounter, with Leeds struggling to get through the Norwich City defence, but how wrong I was! Suddenly we recovered the swagger we have shown for much of the season, and not a moment too soon.
Farke happy with the result after bore draw at NorwichMany neutrals have complained on social media that yesterday’s game at Norwich City was a bit on the dull side, but the Leeds team wasn't set up to please them. For us it was the result that mattered, and it should leave us in a better position to get through to the final.

Crisis, what Crisis? As Mark Twain might have said, rumours of the death of our promotion hopes have been greatly exaggerated. Last night’s win at Middlesbrough was a hard watch towards the end, but the vital three points has got our campaign back on track.
