As Chris Rea nearly sang, if you are on the road to Hull or even the Highway To Hull, we bring you all the tips whether you are travelling by road, train or plane, find out all you need to know for our game on Saturday.
The Stadium
Hull moved to the KC Stadium in 2002 after many years at Boothferry Park and it was renamed in April 2016 to the KCOM Stadium to reflect the new branding of Kingston Communications who have the naming rights , the ground is shared by both Hull City FC and Hull Rugby League Club, it is a bit different from your average new build stadium and is set in parkland. It is now known as the MKM Stadium
Hull's attendances initially did not hold up well after their time in the Premier League ended, due to issues with the club owners, but this season with that problem solved, the fans have flocked back and this season they have averaged a little over 20,000.
That means that the stadium will be fairly full on Saturday, on our last visit in 2023 it was over 21k and it is likely to be a similar crowd for our visit given their opening attendances this season.
Getting There
By Car
After getting to the M1 Northbound head towards Sheffield and at junction 32 take the M18 Eastbound and then the M62 signposted Kingston Upon Hull.
At the end of the M62, continue onto the A63 towards Hull. Stay on the A63 and the stadium is clearly signposted (MKM Stadium and a football symbol) as you approach Hull. About one mile from the centre of Hull leave the A63 (just after you pass B&Q on the opposite side of the carriageway and is sign posted Local Infirmary) and take the 2nd exit at the roundabout. Turn left at the lights and then over the flyover, right at the next lights and the ground is down on the right.
By Train
The Stadium is around a 20 minute walk away from Hull Paragon Railway Station. Turn left at the end of the railway station platform and then left into the bus station (without going outside the station). Exit the bus station at the far end. Walk past Tesco on your right, cross over Park Street at the traffic lights. Following blue pedestrian signs to MKM Stadium go along Londesborough Street, Cross Argyle Street and on to the pedestrian walkway and bridges over railway lines to stadium.
Car Parking
There is a massive car park at the stadium at a cost of £5 although as with many car parks adjacent to stadiums, the issue is getting away after the match and waits of 30 minutes are not uncommon.
Alternatively there is a Park & Ride facility signposted off the A63 although this is mainly used by home fans.
Some supporters will park in one of the many town centre car parks and then walk out to the stadium, but it is perhaps counter productive in that, they are at least a 20 minute walk from the MKM, so by the time you have got back to the car park in the town, you would have probably have already departed from the car parks at the stadium. Another alternative is perhaps to park at the Infirmary (clearly signposted from the A63) where parking is only £5 for 4 hours. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the ground from there'.

The Away Section
Visiting supporters are located in the North East corner of the stadium where around 2,500 fans are spread across blocks in effectively two stands, the corner behind the goal and the side next to it.
The facilities are good with the usual selection of drinks and pies etc.
Pubs, Eating, Drinking Etc
Away supporters visiting supporters have their own designated bar called the Pitch Side Bar located at the stadium itself next to the away turnstiles and although not the biggest of bars, it shows live sports and in addition to beer etc also has hot and cold food.
However strangely it stops selling alcohol 45 minutes before the kick off so may not be as attractive as it sounds.
Near to the ground the Park View pub opposite the main car park entrance on Walton Street lets in away fans as does the Walton Street Social Club although they charge £1 to get in.
The Boot Room on the corner of Walton Street and Anlaby Street is another pub that is away fan friendly, all three of these bars are within a five minute walk from the ground.
Those going by train or staying in the City Centre have a bigger choice of pubs with the Admiral Of The Humber a Weatherspoons outlet opposite the train station being the most popular amongst visiting supporters.
Many Hull fans drink near the old Boothferry Park and this is an area to be avoided, the Silver Cod being singled out as being lets say very partizan.
