Thomas To Sign Subject To Medical
Hamilton Academical striker Joel Thomas looks set to join the U's on a three-year deal, subject to completing a medical.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Frenchman's agent, Sebastien Thiery, confirmed: "A fee has been agreed and he is now at Colchester having a medical.
"He is set to sign a three-year contract and he is looking forward to playing for Colchester."
It is believed that the U's had a bid of £225,000 accepted by Hamilton last week for strikers Richard Offiong and Joel Thomas. And while Thomas looks set to move to United, it's been speculated that Offiong has failed to agree terms.
