Kandol no can do penalties

Dennis Wise has revealed that Tresor Kandol will not be taking any more penalties after his miss against Orient on Saturday.

Tresor Kandol will not be taking any more penalties for Leeds United.

That is the verdict from boss Dennis Wise.

Kandol scuffed a glorious chance for Leeds to snatch three-points against battling Leyton Orient on Saturday, when he fluffed a 81 minute spotkick.

And Wise revealed that although his Congolese hit-man has been a revelation with five goals so far this season, penalties are off his agenda!

"Tresor won't be taking another penalty," said Wise. "He was confident about taking it and no-one was going to get the ball off him but I would have preferred Ian Westlake to have taken it.

Wise also admitted he was unsure whether or not Orient claims that Casper Ankegren had fumbled the ball over the line on 85 minutes were valid.

Wise said: "I am disappointed that we haven't taken the three points but we are still unbeaten. I haven't seen whether the ball was over the line but if it was, we've had a bit of luck.

"We didn't have much luck last season so these things even themselves out."

But the accumulated losses mean that player sales will be inevitable in the summer if we remain in the Championship.
