Radostin Kishishev could be on his way back to Leicester City having failed to kick a ball for Leeds this time round!
His return was hailed as a stroke of good-fortune!
But it looks like Leeds are preparing to send Radostin Kishishev back to Leicester City, as he has failed to kick a ball for Leeds since returning here on loan last month.
Kishishev strained a muscle on the eve of what would have been his second-coming; the bitter clash with Millwall and has remained crocked ever since.
According to leedsunited.com, Leeds are considering sending the 33-year-old Bulgarian back to the Walkers Stadium.
I thought it was customary as a rule to return injured loan-players to their club of registration, re: the scenario with Mark De Vries last month - who also arrived from Leicester, was sent-back but has since returned!
Maybe it indicates the high-esteem "Kish" is held in by the management at ER?
The fans certainly love him. He arrived for the relegation dog-fight last season on-loan from Charlton and although he couldn't quite inspire our safe passage from the dreaded-drop, the ten games he played for Leeds certainly made a big impression on us supporters!
Kish joined comedy club Leicester as part of Milan Mandaric's "revolution" in the summer and figured 7 times for the Foxes. Signed by Martin Allen, he appeared to be out of Gary Megson's plans - but now Megson has moved on!
Keeping an injured loan player appears to be very much against the frugal nature of Uncle Ken, unless there is some contractual term I'm not aware of enforcing Kish's stay. His loan deal expires on Friday week, so unless he makes a swift recovery it is likely he will be heading back down the M1 again.
* On Wednesday a Leeds reserve team that included Shaun Derry and Alan Thompson for the full 90 drew 2-2 with Scunthorpe.
** Jonathan Douglas will miss Saturday's clash with Swindon due to international duty with Eire. Jermaine Beckford may also be a doubt as he is suffering from a sickness bug sweeping the training ground.
