Blatter in speaking sense/loving Leeds shocker!

No I can't quite get my head around it either!

Sepp Blatter, the man who usually spouts out more **** than a sewerage farm appears to have spoken some sense for once.

Apparently last week, in the European parliament, he praised Leeds as a model for a club who have suffered financial meltdown and are rebuilding with the focus on youth.

Arguably the biggest success story this season has been the emergence of youngsters Aiden White and Fabian Delph. And it has not gone un-noticed by football's so-called "top man".

Mnsr Blatter said of the Leeds youth policy: Unless you are one of the ultra-rich clubs, this, surely, is the way forward and Leeds, a club I greatly respect, have to be applauded for its efforts in this regard."

Last week, Uncle Ken spoke of asking fans to invest in a trust type agreement, so Thorp Arch could be re-purchased. In 2004, the complex was sold by the Krasner-board and Leeds have been paying rent on it since.

However, the news that Blatter finally speaks some sense will be greeted with worldwide disbelief and I can hear the Pomagne corks popping as I write. Following his past pleas for women to wear tighter shorts and Cristino Ronaldo being treated like a modern day slave, this really is too much for me to take and I think I need to go and lie down in a dark-room for the rest of the day!

Annual accounts show that the club will have to sell players if we don't go up
The club released the annual accounts for the 2022/3 season this week, and despite the headline figure of an overall loss of £33.7 million, we’re not in danger of any points deduction for now. But the accumulated losses mean that player sales will be inevitable in the summer if we remain in the Championship.
