England v Ukraine 10:25 - Jul 3 with 3026 views | Bicester_North | Somehow these team leaks keep coming out early Supposedly it’s back to 4 at the back with the skate back in the team and Sancho in alongside Kane and Sterling

England v Ukraine on 22:24 - Jul 3 by Sadoldgit | Who’d have thought it? Play attacking football and score 4 goals! Southgate has been criticised for being over cautious, and quite rightly given the attacking talent we have, but we are in the semi finals and haven’t conceded a goal yet so he deserves praise for that. Denmark will not be a push over but looked tired at the end of their match and all being well we look set for the final. England v Italy sounds like a cracking game. |
Who'd have thought it? I had a feeling the attacking football would come in the later rounds, saving energy by getting the job done in knock out stages. Grealish will be fresh for the final because he has been saved when not needed. It's excellent, clever management actually, and has been missed by some, who were slagging Southgate of earlier on, not realising the "method in the madness". [Post edited 3 Jul 2021 22:47]

Well done the lads. I have to say I thought the manager was a drip and the players were a bunch of w@nkers before this tournament but it’s absolutely faultless so far. Denmark seem to have huge team spirit and will be very tough to beat but this lot seem to be different from the England bottlers of the past. Just to get to a final would be a massive success.

England v Ukraine on 23:18 - Jul 3 with 881 views | A1079 | A superb result and performance. England completely nullified Ukraine. I have to admit that thus far Southgate has shown some real tactical and strategic nouse. He always displays a sense of dignity and humility no matter what and I think he has got his players behaving the same way instead of the inflated egos of the past. I think tonight's England performance was the most competent and professional I have seen since the 4-0 win against the Netherlands in 1996. I like the Danes and I think they will be a much tougher proposition. A Red cross against a white background Vs a White cross against a red background.

It would be massive success. Denmark could be tricky, for sure, full of enthusiasm and they want to do it for Eriskson but we should still get through at Wembley. Italy or Spain in the final is tough, especially Italy but we can do it, it's our year.

Shame we didn't grab him when he was going through that bad spell he had.

Denmark will be a sterner test and offer more going forward but they are showing signs of tiredness whereas we look on the up. I think it will be us and Italy in the final.

I think Italy will beat Spain. They have been really impressive and England if they play them will have to play like they have been doing. The Italians resorted to type in the last half hour v Belgium falling over and feigning injury and surrounding the ref all the time. I can see them winding up and targeting England players employing the dark arts they specialise in. Denmark first. They will tough but looked knackered in their last game.

Haha Bicester. I gambled with my memory for the Netherlands scoreline. A bit like my predictions - I rarely get them spot on.
England v Ukraine on 12:48 - Jul 4 with 641 views | Sadoldgit | I was worried about Pickford last night. It looked like the therapy was working and he had showed a great deal of self discipline so far, but last night the brain farts returned. If I was an opposing coach I would target his temperament.

England v Ukraine on 17:39 - Jul 4 with 560 views | Sadoldgit | He faces it every week in the EPL and Denmark have had to deal with fast attacking players in this competition already. Kyle Walker is no slouch but he has been caught out a few times too. They cause problems for all defenders.

My only worry would be Kyle Walker against better opposition. For me, he often gives the ball away far too cheaply and doesn't mark that well. Yesterday when Ukraine lumped it foward late on (when Pickford made a hash of it) the Ukraine striker ran free from about 5 yards inside his own half, Walker was about 3 yards behind him running back on the chase. If he was in the correct position to start with, they'd have been no panic. He won't get away with it against a decent side. I'd favour the Chelsea fella James, but that won't happen in this tournament.

I like Walker better in the back 5 rather than the 4. Much needed pace to cover Stones and Maguire and he doesn’t get caught out of position so much.. If we play a 4 v Denmark would be happy to see James come in but as you say, won’t happen.
