Who’d have thought it? Play attacking football and score 4 goals! Southgate has been criticised for being over cautious, and quite rightly given the attacking talent we have, but we are in the semi finals and haven’t conceded a goal yet so he deserves praise for that.

Well done the lads. I have to say I thought the manager was a drip and the players were a bunch of w@nkers before this tournament but it’s absolutely faultless so far.
Denmark seem to have huge team spirit and will be very tough to beat but this lot seem to be different from the England bottlers of the past.

A superb result and performance. England completely nullified Ukraine. I have to admit that thus far Southgate has shown some real tactical and strategic nouse. He always displays a sense of dignity and humility no matter what and I think he has got his players behaving the same way instead of the inflated egos of the past.
I think tonight's England performance was the most competent and professional I have seen since the 4-0 win against the Netherlands in 1996.

It would be massive success. Denmark could be tricky, for sure, full of enthusiasm and they want to do it for Eriskson but we should still get through at Wembley. Italy or Spain in the final is tough, especially Italy but we can do it, it's our year. | |

I think Italy will beat Spain. They have been really impressive and England if they play them will have to play like they have been doing. The Italians resorted to type in the last half hour v Belgium falling over and feigning injury and surrounding the ref all the time. I can see them winding up and targeting England players employing the dark arts they specialise in. Denmark first. They will tough but looked knackered in their last game. |  |

My only worry would be Kyle Walker against better opposition.
For me, he often gives the ball away far too cheaply and doesn't mark that well.
Yesterday when Ukraine lumped it foward late on (when Pickford made a hash of it) the Ukraine striker ran free from about 5 yards inside his own half, Walker was about 3 yards behind him running back on the chase. If he was in the correct position to start with, they'd have been no panic. He won't get away with it against a decent side.

I like Walker better in the back 5 rather than the 4. Much needed pace to cover Stones and Maguire and he doesn’t get caught out of position so much..
If we play a 4 v Denmark would be happy to see James come in but as you say, won’t happen. | |
