He is still considered by Wolves' fans to be their greatest ever player. I only saw him play once and that was at the Dell in 1965, when we beat Wolves 9-3. He reminded me very much of Bobby Moore when he played at the Dell and we beat his West Ham team 6-2. The Rolls Royce England defenders of that era, who enjoyed strolling around majestically at Wembley, rarely performed well in the cramped confines of the Dell. [Post edited 12 Nov 2021 13:34]
