Leeds drop into the bottom 3 as things stand. Plenty of twists and turns to come I'm sure.

For once I actually want Leicester to win, and that's not going so well right now! But at least Leeds seem to be self imploding which is good

So we just need Chelsea to win at Leeds and then we can relax.....

I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it.

They'd still have 3 games left and we'd still be mathematically unsafe..highly unlikely they'd gain 7 points though mate..can't see us mustering another single point this season though...although we could wake up and beat the scouse for an amazing season defining result..its yet again highly unlikely but nevertheless a possibility bud.

If Ralph beats the scousers I'd be happy for him to stay in charge until his contract expires.

Poll: Who would you want to save this season Pellegrino or Adkins

I'd almost settle for a point against LPool which would stop them winning the league and rely on Leeds c0cking up to keep us up!

It could get a bit edgy come the final game. Assuming we lose to Liverpool, if Everton, Burnley and Leeds get 3 more points each from their game in hand before the final day, the gap will be 3 points with one game to play. Leeds have a worse goal difference, so will need 4 points from their next 2 games to take it to the final day. Worse case scenario, those teams win 2 games each and we are all on 40 points come the final day. This is ofcourse as long as we don't get thrashed by Liverpool, changing our advantage with goal difference.

We ought to just keep it really tight and try to nick a draw next Tuesday. Keeping the score down will likely keep us up on goal difference anyway, and one more point should be enough.

Or at least do what we did against Arsenal, play 5 in defence, 10 men behind the ball, really deep and try to keep the score down.

Yep...a narrow defeat against Liverpool and Leicester could be vital on keeping us up if Leeds get 40 points.

The trouble is can we really rely on Saints even achieving this?

Leicester are very poor at the moment, surely, Saints would put a shift in, if it suddenly became clear we needed a result? Nonetheless, we will know come next Sunday evening what the situation is. It's seems unlikely, all the other teams around us, all win 2 games each with only 3 or 4 to go, but they're fighting for their lives so it's possible.

Leeds (34 points) have Chelsea (H), Brighton (H), then finally Brentford (A).

Burnley (34 points) have Spurs (A), Villa (A), and finish with Newcastle (H).

I think we'll just get away with it - even allowing for losses versus Liverpool & Leicester. Leeds or Burnley might catch us - but not both.

No way Leeds are getting 7 more points.

Now that their Europa quest is over, all their star / injured players will have a 2 week rest and be fit and ready to play against us on the final day.

Some players will be making sure they play in our game, as it will be their farewell to the fans and club, as many will be moving on to pastures new over the summer.

Rat Face will no doubt be fully recovered and diving (sorry dying) to score against us !! :-)

.....but obviously the likes of Vest and Bert will still be on the treatment table, taking their full wages, despite each playing only a handful of games for the foxes this season !!
