Not entirely Chesh, but it has been reported that Jose Mourinho has had contact with Newcastle over a move to the North East..he loves a big budget and has more gravitas than Howe when it comes to recruitment.

Howe is in exactly the same boat as his players. Newcastle have sky high ambition. They want the worlds best players and coaches. The people there now are just there to do a job and get them one level up. City did the same when they had Pellegrini and Mancini.
I'd imagine the Newcastle team will be unrecognisable in 12 months time and I seriously doubt Howe will be in charge unless he does amazingly well. I'm not sure why people want him here. He did ok at Bournemouth, below par at Burnley, ok again at Bournemouth and has done a reasonable job at Newcastle once he could spend a hundred million.

I said this when he was appointed and a lot of his squad no this too, if they had been relegated then Howe and the likes of Burn, Targett & Wood would be kept, they have stayed up so Howe and those three and more will now be nowhere near the first team, they will have earned a lot of cash for a short job |  |
