 | Forum Thread | 5 Things About Brentford Trip at 09:23 10 May 2022
1. The ground was small and hemmed in with poor access for away fans as well as having to enter and leave in a cramped area with home fans behind the goal. 2. The price of a pint in and around the ground was attrocious, a pub next to Brentford's old ground Griffin Park was £6.50 a pint. 3. Transport links are very good to the ground both by road and by train, although on Saturday the easiest route for us was closed for railworks 4.Brentord fans are a pretty innoffensive lot, but they have attracted a lot of fans who werent going regularly before Covid 19 and their rise. 5.The view from the away section was quite good due to the steepness of the terraces, far better than Arsenal for instance |

The queen will miss it, at 96 I'm not sure that she has the health anymore to be able to take on Royal duties,, whatever you think of Prince Charles and the monarchy, I think it is time to step down before she is worked to death |

I dont think it was a good move to put him on the bench on Saturday, the game always had the possibility to go pear shaped so he was never going to get on. But it has put a lot of weight on his shoulders now, some will be demanding he play either in the last two games and then next season, when perhaps he is not ready yet still being only 16 and only playing a few games for the academy sides, He should have been allowed to develop out of the limelight, all he has done so far is score 1 hat trick, still a long way to go yet |
 | Forum Thread | Played For Saints & Brentford at 10:13 6 May 2022
So who have we got, Tony Funnell who in 1977/78 played only 15 games for the club, mostly in the second half of the season, but scored 8 goals and got us over the line for promotion. Played just twice the following season in the top flight, never really got a chance I thought, Went to Gillingham and then Brentford in 1980, was out of League football by 1983 still only 26 despite averaging around a goal every 3 games for Gillingham, Brentford and then Bournemouth. Played for Poole Town for the rest of his career |

He is very bitter towards Saints, he is now telling anyone that listens that James Ward Prowse should leave Saints if he wants to play in the World cup, personally I think staying at St mary's is his best chance of being selected. He doesnt need to rock the boat in terms of his form etc, look at Danny Ings, he was on the verge of the England squad, but going to Villa ended any hopes he had |

Interesting to see that Russia is warning about the war escalating, should we be worried, or is the truth that if Russia can't conquet Ukraine, what hope has it against the combined strength of NATO |
