- Massive house and garden - A massive expensive car - Free breakfast and free lunch every day - A gorgeous dog - An afternoon trip to a bar to play darts. - Just a couple of hours playing football in the morning.
Good news. Downes is back. I hope he starts. I would go with Bazunu, Bree, Harwood-Bellis Bednerak Manning (or Stephens?) Downes Armstrong Smallbone Brooks Adams A Armstrong
So Liverpool win the league cup. The winners of the FA Cup will be Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City or Man United. And the PL will be won by Man City, Liverpool or Arsenal. And who won the cups last season and the season before? I am glad to be out. No chance of winning it, it's just the truth unfortunately. People are living in a different universe if they think any other team can win anything. Let's concentrate on the league.
Away fans will be in the corner and on the side. They won't be behind the goal at all. Great to remove away fans from behind the goal, I think. But the plans bring about one dilemma. The fans that want to stand and sing, are likely to also want to be near the away fans arn't they?
So, why not have the safe standing in the Chapel, so that all the singers and standers are together, but also next to away fans?
Disgraceful fans. It all kicked off at the end of Brittannia Road. Police with batons drawn. I was walking with the wife and they called her a tart, spitting at us, they were attacking our fans. Nasty tw@ts. Anyone saying the police operation was over the top, is very wrong. I'm sure this will be in the echo when they've trashed the city centre.
West Brom fans saying Southampton are the best fans they have seen at the Hawthorns for a long time. Unfortunately, I wasn't there tonight, chose Bristol City instead. Oh well never mind, the result feels just as good.
Also saying that our away performance was "classy". I would agree. It was a thoroughly professional performance. But well done to the fans on a Friday night.
That was one of the best games I can remember at St Mary's We powered onto victory like champions. Great subs, great goals, absolute carnage celebrating those goals. At 3 2 I thought that was it. I think this game could be the most vital come back in many a year. Never had such fun in a season. 😜
Some of these allocations for tickets seem really small. Only 2000 tickets for Ipswich away will be nowhere near what we would take. In the build up to the final few crunch games, demand for tickets is going to be unreal. What do we think will get you a ticket, 5 plus away games?
Bristol City - Sold Out
West Brom - Sold Out
Birmingham - Usual allocation = 2000 (This has changed from game to game, as they have been rebuilding during the season)
Leicester - Usual allocation = 3000
Ipswich - Usual allocation = 2100
Blackburn - Usual allocation = 7500
Cardiff - Usual allocation = 2200
Leeds - Usual allocation = Leeds tend to give the allocation that they receive, up to a maximum of 3000. But for such a huge game, will they do the dirty on us and only give 2000 tickets?
Blackburn away could be a great day out, with potentially a huge following going up there.
1) Never been to such a quiet place inside and outside the ground. Arrived 2 hours before kick off and there was about 5 people walking around the ground. Totally bizarre. I asked if the game had been called off. But no it got a bit busier later, obviously.
2) Great following from Saints fans. We had the whole end and we were noisy throughout.
3) Their old ground is literally a few minutes walk away, across the road. It's all still standing with floodlights and everything. Was talking to a Rotherham fan who said that the plan was to knock it down and build flats. Once the plan was finalised, it was found that the area was unsuitable for housing, and that the land can only be used for sport. So the ground remains.
4) Rotherham really is a very poor and destitute place. And I've been to some poor places. Anyone see any police? I saw hundreds at Millwall, very few if any at Rotherham.
5) Great away day. The ground is a mini St Mary's. Great selection of food and drink. The Rotherham fans were literally silent apart from a man with a hat. And those steps in the stand, weren't they steep!!!
If Leicester win, we stay 2nd, but Leicester would be way ahead at the top. If Ipswich win, both teams become catchable and the title race would get interesting. However, we would be three points behind Ipswich again and back into third. If it's a draw, we go back to third, but it keeps Leicester just about catchable.
