Drury Talks Next Week
Drury Talks Next Week

Midfielder Andy Drury’s future could be sorted as soon as next week with Blues boss Paul Jewell and Crawley manager Steve Evans set to hold talks. The 28-year-old’s successful 93-day spell at the Broadfield Stadium is up after this Saturday’s game against Crewe.

Evans said: "Paul Jewell and I have agreed to contact each other next week. Andy has made it quite clear he'd like to be here and I've made it quite clear to the directors I'd like to keep him.

"We've agreed to speak on Monday and take it from there. He's fitted into the dressing room exceptionally well. We do a number of checks, not just on playing ability, but what people are like because we don't want any bad apples."

Drury, Paul Jewell’s first permanent Town signing, joined the Blues from Luton for £150,000 a year ago but failed to establish himself in the first team prior to his switch to the League Two leaders, with whom he has scored four goals in 14 games.

Even if a deal is done next week the former builder wouldn't be able to rejoin the Red Devils until the transfer window opens next month.
