Crystal Palace and Bristol City have emerged as possible destinations for Leeds' Top Scorer.

As well as Wigan and West Ham, Huddersfield Town could face competition from Championship rivals Crystal Palace and Bristol City for the signature of Ross McCormack.

Palace are rumoured to be prepared to offer a ridiculously derisory £750,000 for the ex-Rangers and Cardiff striker, who bagged 19 goals for Leeds last season.

Local newspapers and websites in Bristol have been going into a frenzy, with one pricing McCormack at a more realistic £2m and even featuring a full profile on the forward.

Exactly where they can find that type of dosh is another matter as I heard a couple of weeks ago they were looking at making some of their staff redundant.

Even though Leeds appear to be heading towards a brighter future on the ownership stakes, it seems unlikely that a new deal will be agreed with McCormack and we are effective resigned to seeing him leave sooner rather than later.

janner1981 added 18:52 - Jun 26 If you had bothered to do any research you would have found out that Bristol City have one of the wealthiest owners in football. Four-Four-two mag only last week placed him at about 26th in the football rich list worth around £560m. They also have a director on the same list worth a small fortune. The redundancies are to cut general running costs which are too high. Bristol City could quite easily afford a £2m transfer fee if the manager and owner felt a player warranted the fee and only a few years ago they paid £2.25m for Nicky Maynard. The real failing in these recent rumours in my opinion is why the hell would Ross Mcormack want to join Palarse or Bristol City? Surely there will be better offers around?
