Saints have denied demanding Darren Moore in an exchange deal from Derby.

Biggest question on Saints fans lips this week has been the situation of Kenwynne Jones, will he or wont he be moving to Derby County, Sunderland or perhaps in the days or dual ownership, perhaps both.

Then the question of Jonh Viafara was thrown into the mix with Derby reportably wanting to sign the Columbian as well !

But with rumours rife that they want defender Darren Moore in return, Saints have taken the unusual step of issuing a denial on the official website.

However its interesting in its content in that although they deny strenuosly that they have stated that they will accept £6m plus Moore in return for Jones and Viafara, and have once again said that Jones isnt for sale, they have stopped short of making similar noises about Viafara.

TUI understands that whilst Jones has been happy at Southampton he is of course ambitious and would not turn down the chance of a move to the Premiership, however the club are not willing to sell him at this point.

Why they would equally want to sell Viafara is mysterfying, however the cynics in the fan base would say that his good form would stand in the way of Jermaine Wright, who unluckily enough for Jones cannot play up front, which means that sadly for Kenwynne he wont be getting a dream move just yet.
