Swansea moved two points clear at the top of League One after they won and closest rivals Huddersfield were held to a draw.

Huddersfield will be kicking themselves after letting a two-goal lead at MK Dons slip in the final nine minutes.

Pawel Abbott (7) and Andy Booth (64) seemed to have set up a comfortable win, but late efforts Nick Rizzo and the prolific Izale McLeod ensured the hosts claimed a share of the spoils.

Brentford took advantage of that slip to move within three points of The Terriers although they needed a late goal of their own from Michael Turner to see off Yeovil.

The Bees were two up inside 13 minutes thanks to an own-goal from Nathan Jones and a Jay Tabb strike.

However, Matt Harold and Lee Johnson dragged the visitors level only for Turner to win it two minutes from time.

Southend lost ground on the front-runners after being held to a goalless home draw by Chesterfield, but Barnsley climbed to fifth with a 2-1 win over Tranmere with efforts from Martin Devaney and Marc Richards (penalty) ensuring that Delroy Facey's late goal was nothing more than a consolation.

Colchester continued their superb run with a fifth straight league win, a 1-0 success at Hartlepool earned by Jamie Cureton's goal shortly before the hour mark.

James Hayter turned in the individual performance of the night by firing a hat-trick to lead Bournemouth to a 3-1 victory at Blackpool for whom Tommy Wright had opened the scoring.

Nathan Tyson's first goal for Nottingham Forest secured a 1-0 win over Port Vale while Bradford inflicted yet another defeat on basement boys Bristol City thanks to a Louis Carey own-goal.

Oldham beat Walsall 2-1 at Boundary Park with Chris Porter and Paul Warne scoring, Kris Taylor replied for Paul Merson's men.

Gillingham claimed a much-needed three points with a narrow 1-0 home triumph over Doncaster with Michael Flynn the scorer while Rotherham and Swindon played out a goalless draw at Millmoor.
