Swans Agree Fee For Cardiff's Feeney

Swans Agree Feeney Fee

The Evening Post have revealed that the Swans and Cardiff have agreed a fee for on loan striker Warren Feeney for when his loan spell ends at the end of December.

There is no guarantee that the deal will turn into a permanent one but the Post has stated that the fee has been agreed which could be good news for Swans fans with Feeney on target four times in the last three league games.

Feeney joined the Swans on transfer deadline day - August 31 - and a permanent move was discussed then but it was decided that the better option for all parties was a loan deal with a view to a permanent stay.

"We talked through a permanent move with Cardiff before we signed Warren," said Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins in tonight's paper

"We have got an agreement with Cardiff to take things forward if we want to. A fee is agreed and that option is there for us.

"It's going to be down to Warren and Roberto to decide what happens," Jenkins added.

"These things are never easy, but we have done all we can do on it for now and it's a case of waiting and seeing where we are at the end of December.

"Roberto and Warren will have to sit down and talk things through then.

"Warren is definitely with us until January 1 and we hope he continues enjoying his football and playing as he is."
