Saints Trust Arrange Bucket Collection
Saints Trust Arrange Bucket Collection
Thursday, 9th Apr 2009 09:48

After Leon Crouch's appeal for supporters to donate, the Saints Trust have arranged a bucket collection.

With the crowd struggling to reach 20,000 for the visit of Crystal Palace and therefore the club being faced with not enough income to continueto the end of the season, The Saints Trust are arranging a bucket collection for the game on Easter Monday.

The initial reaction od some supporters may be that this wont raise much and therefore can have little effect, but the sad truth is that even an average of £1 a head will go a long way and peerhaps save several jobs within the club.

But hopefully it will raise a lot more than that, if Saints fans respond, it could mean that the Club can continue to trade till the end of the season

The Saints Trust cannot stress how serious the situation is, if Saints fans dont turn out in number as they did for the Charlton game, then the Club either has to raise money in other areas, and that means appealing to those attending the game to subsidise those that arent.

At present the Club hasnt had to make anyone redundant and dont want to, however as always in these situations it will be those on the lowwer rung who will suffer, Saints fans will hopefully realise that and donate to help their own.

Anyone who would like to assist in the collection should contact the Saints Trust via its website or through the messaging service on the Ugly Inside.
