It might have escaped your attention but we are not that popular in this little corner of Kirklees.

Whether it is souvenir DVD's and arguments over copyright, rows over pre-match expenses, their keeper being a self-confessed Leeds hater, mither about their fans having to walk the long-way home after the game it is fair to say that there is very little love lost between Town and the whites'

It is mostly a one-way street, the antipathy clearly lives at the western end of the A62. Really we can't be that bothered to work ourselves up into a lather about them. Whilst we recovered from our Autumn slump last weekend with a 4-0 roll over of Birmingham City, Huddersfield made it five without a win by going down at Leicester - however if you listen to their fans then they were unlucky and if they play like that against us then apparently we will have no chance.

They will be without James Vaughan, who scored the winner when we played them at Elland Road last season. Their local paper seems to think Adam Clayton may not start? Clayton burnt his bridges with our fans following his wild goal celebrations in front of Neil Warnock in last December's clash which Leeds eventually ran out as 4-2 winners.

That victory was a rare moment of joy during Warnock's bleak tenure at Leeds, two men who were so instrumental in that win will obviously not be involved. Luciano Becchio's return now seems even less likely now we have got Dexter Blackstock on loan and Ryan Hall has called in the PFA to fight the decision by Leeds to suspend him following an alleged breach of club rules on twitter.

I suspect Brian will stick with the same team and formation that served him so well against Brum, a 3-5-2 wing-back system which has been hailed as the best thing since sliced bread by Leeds legend Peter Lorimer, (or until someone susses it).

I'm going for bragging rights all even Stephen, McDermott snatching a 1-1 draw at a club where he spent a brief period on-loan in the 1980's.

Huddersfield's keeper hates Leeds because we picked on him for his error in his debut at Elland Road in 2007. That was the start of the '1-0, it's your keeper's fault!' chant. And it really was, as Huddersfield had the better of the first half but went in 1-0 down at the break thanks to Smithies letting a long range shot from Douglas slip through his hands into the net. We went on to win 4-0 and Smithies was so upset he considered giving up the game there and then!
