Dagenham boss Wayne Burnett was full of praise for his own side after Dagenham beat Dale 3-1 on Saturday.

He told the press: "We had no doubt how difficult it would be and they could have been 1-0 up after 15 seconds and it would have changed the complexion of the game but it didn’t and we managed to get the result.

“I think we were under a little bit of pressure in the first half because they passed it nicely but our game plan worked well. We knew they’d have plenty of the ball as they have done against most teams this season but I think tactically we got it spot on.

“We played against a good team with some great players so it’s an unbelievable result for this football club and don’t let anyone say any different. Was it a great performance? No, but it was a fantastic result. It was very good with some fantastic finishes and I can’t ask for anymore."
