City Look To Bounce Back
Friday, 24th Oct 2014 11:01

City travel to Upton Park after a disappointing midweek Champions League draw against CSKA Moscow, hoping to bag another win in the Premier League and keep the pressure on title rivals Chelsea before their Sunday game against Manchester United. City clinched the title with a 2-0 win over West Ham on the final day of last season and beat Allardyce's side four times during the previous campaign, scoring 14 goals to their opponents' one.

Team News

Frank Lampard has an outside chance of returning for City after picking up a thigh injury against Spurs last weekend, but Samir Nasri is out following a groin operation.

West Ham's Cheikhou Koutaye and James Tomkins will be available again for selection this weekend after recovering from injuries. Defender Tomkins and midfielder Kouyate have recovered from thigh and groin problems respectively while striker Andy Carroll is back in training but not considered ready for the clash at Upton Park.
Guy Demel (thigh), Joey O'Brien (knee) and James Collins (groin) are also out injured.

Stats

In their last 20 away games against teams positioned in the top half of the table, Man City have won 8, drawn 7 and lost 5 of these matches.

West Ham have taken just one point from their last six Barclays Premier League encounters with Manchester City (L5 D1).

Sergio Aguero (108 mins) has the best mins-per-goal rate of any player in Barclays Premier League history (excluding players with fewer than 20 goals).

The Hammers lost four times to City last season (twice in the league and both legs of the League Cup semi-final).
