The latest FIFA World Rankings when they are released next month will see Wales eclipse their best by making the Top 10 of the world as expected.

The 1-0 win over Belgium that gave them clear control over their European Championship qualifying group and has now seen them break into the Top 10 in the World for the first time, beating their previous best of 22nd which was last month.

It makes for a remarkable turnaround in fortune for the side that was ranked a lowly 117th in the World just four years ago and secures them a top seeding placement when the World Cup qualifying draw is made at the end of next month.

England's own qualifying win ensures that they retain a ranking above Wales but all that could change in the coming months as Wales push on towards a first major championships final since 1958.

The Top 10 in the World rankings will look as follows

01 Germany
02 Argentina
03 Belgium
04 Holland
05 Colombia
06 Brazil
07 Portugal
08 Romania
09 England
10 WALES
