Two matches into the season and it is two man of the match awards for Jefferson Montero as, for the second game running, he rated more than 9 out of 10 from all the votes polled after we beat Newcastle 2-0 at the Liberty.

Following on from his man of the match award against Chelsea, Montero was in fine form again on Saturday creating one goal and also being the reason why Daryl Janmaat lost his head and made two stupid tackles to get himself sent off and give the visitors a bigger disadvantage than they already had.

Montero was the clear vote winner ahead of Andre Ayew - who scored his second goal in two games - and also Jonjo Shelvey and Bafetimbi Gomis who combined so well to score the Swans first of the afternoon.

In the early running for the Planet Swans player of the season title clearly Montero is the front runner with an average rating of 9.15 ahead of Ayew (8.41) and Shelvey (8.29)
