Biabi Signs On
Monday, 17th Aug 2015 14:42 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

As we reported yesterday the Swans have confirmed the signing of young striker Botti Biati from Scottish Championship club Falkirk on a three year deal.

Biabi will link up with the Under-21 squad after he joined for an undisclosed fee but will not be eligible to make his debut at Brighton tonight as the Swans are still waiting for international clearance.

Biabi becomes the third Falkirk player to join the Swans in recent years following in the footsteps of Jay Fulton and Stephen Kingsley and fits nicely the mould of the young talented players that we like to bring into the club.

It is also great news for us that the Swans are prepared to invest in the players of the future with too many teams in the English divisions concentrating on the here and now rather than buys like this that could save us some transfer fees in the future.

His biography on the Falkirk website read "Botti is a big, powerful striker who builds his game on getting in about opposing central-defenders. His strengths include good heading ability, a fair burst of speed and a keen eye for goal.

"The talent he has is raw and he would be the first to admit he is still learning but his time will come."

“I am excited to join because this is a big club,” said Biabi. “Obviously Stephen and Jay arrived here from Falkirk, so that will help me settle into the club.

“I’ve spoken to them both and they’ve made feel very welcome.

“I’ve seen Jay play in big games for the first team in the Premier League and cup, and I would like to follow in their footsteps.”

Welcome to Swansea Botti - may your stay be a long one
