Ryan Seager Facing Long Injury Lay Off
Thursday, 18th Feb 2016 10:45

Saints youngster Ryan Seager's loan spell at Crewe Alexandra could be over almost as quickly as it started as he waits for the results of s can on his knee.

Ryan Seager had made a good start to his loan spell at Crewe and had barely finished celebrating his first goal at Professional level when he caught his studs in the boggy surface at Rochdale's Spotland ground and immediately went down in some pain clutching his knee.

This was his third appearance for Crewe and he had impressed for the club who looked certain want to extend his loan spell when it expired at the end of February.

But now both Crewe & Saints as well as the player himself will anxiously await the results of the scan and hope that it does not show serious ligament damage of the sort that kept Jay Rodriguez & Frazer Forster out for a year.

Saints rate Seager highly and his loan move to Crewe was the next step in his development, with the aim of getting him experience at League level.
