Leeds United poach key Oxford United figure to Pep Clotet's detriment
Monday, 9th Oct 2017 15:04 by @LucasMonk_

To the detriment of former Whites assistant Pep Clotet, Leeds have recruited Craig Dean - who until today had been Oxford United's head scout since 2014.

Dean, who presided over the transfers of Xemi Fernández, Gino van Kessel, John Mousinho, Alex Mowatt and Jonathan Obika (among others) to the Kassam Stadium in the recent summer transfer window, will fulfill a new role at Elland Road as a member of Leeds' recruitment department.

Speaking of his departure from the League One outfit, Dean said: “I have really enjoyed my time with Oxford."

"There have been some fantastic moments including promotion and cup wins and there are a lot of great people behind the scenes who work very hard and who I am sure I will stay friends with.

The chance to join Leeds is a very exciting new challenge for me, one I’m looking forward to, but I wish Oxford every success.”
