Leeds set deadline over Harry hijack fears.
Leeds set deadline over Harry hijack fears.

Leeds have apparently set a weekend deadline for the deal to bring Harry Wilson to Elland Road, with reported late interest from Aston Villa.

It was widely reported on Wednesday that Leeds had agreed a four-year deal for the 29-year-old Welsh international, albeit verbally and subject to a medical.

It appeared that our long-term pursuit of the attacking wide-man had finally paid off, much to the delight of our fans. We were linked with Wilson a year ago, with a £10m fee mooted as he was in the 5th and final year of his Fulham contract.

Indeed it could be a case of Lleeds United, given our Welsh contingent at the club in the shape of skipper Ethan Ampadu, Joe Roden, Daniel James and Karl Darlow, albeit like Wilson he has just days left on his deal and he's being linked with an unthinkkable move to Man U!

Wilson would also be reunited with a former Derby team-mate Jaydyn Bogls, picturdd on that fateful play-off semi-final night when Wilson was on-loan from Liverpool, eventually making a £12m switch to Fulham.

Inevitably Leeds fans will be unnerved by Villa's reported late interest. The Europa League holders can offer Champions League football and can surely match the wqge-rise we are offering Wilson to snub a new-deal at Craven Cottage.

Im sure though, given the sources reporting the Wilson to Leeds story yesterday its just a case of having to wait until his Fulham-deal expires
s on Tuesday before unveiling him as our player during the middle of next-week

Meanwhile we are still being linked with another free-agent, Germany midfielder Juliam Brandt and Shea Charles of Southampton, although the Championship side value him higher than the £20m bid we'vr apparently had knocked back.
