Gabriel Gudmundsson was asked about being linked with Chelsea and basically said he remains fully-focused on Sweden's World Cup campaign.

The Swedes lie 3rd in Group F and go head-to-head with Jaoan at midnight, putting Gabby head-to-head with AO Tanaka.

And that's pretty much all Gabby is focused on. When asked about the links with west London, he said:" It is clear that it is a confirmation that you are doing something good, then of course all the focus is on the national team here, so that is all I can comment on.”

He also added, his agent who he's known 10-years knows him well-enough not to bother him with club-business whilst he's on international duty.

I wonder if he's mentioned it to Sweden manager Graham Potter, who is one of many ex-Chelsea bosses? Chelsea are in the hunt for a new left-back having sold Marc Cucurella to Real Madrid earlier this month.

Obviously I don't want him to go, he was a solid signing at just £10m from Lille and a definite upgrade on Junior Firpo. But if we were offered "silly money" and bare in mind Chelsea do spend silly-money, I think we'd have to think long and hard about it, given he's 27, got three-years left on his deal, how little we paid for him and we've got James Justin who has played there before we even think about a replacement
