Kishishev returns to Leeds
Kishishev returns to Leeds

Creative midfielder Radostin Kishishev has returned to the club on a month-long loan deal.

With Alan Thompson (hamstring) and Andrew Hughes (groin) currently battling against injury, Dennis Wise has moved quickly to strengthen his midfield, so Kish has joined from Leicester City and linked up with his new team-mates at Thorp Arch this morning.

The Bulgarian international made 10 appearances for Leeds during an impressive spell while on loan from Charlton last season, and he would have joined us permanently if we had stayed up. But instead he went to Leicester on a free transfer during the summer, signing a two-year contract.

However, things haven’t worked out at the Walkers stadium and the 33 year-old has made just four starts for his new club, plus three appearances as sub.  He has apparently fallen out of favour since Gary Megson replaced Martin Allen as City manager, and hasn’t graced their first team since October 2nd.

Kish will initially be available for the league games against Millwall, Carlisle, Bournemouth, Swindon, and Cheltenham Town, but there will then be an option to extend the deal at the end of this period. He has also been granted permission to play in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

The Balkan maestro will go straight into the squad for Saturday's game at home to Millwall.
