Referee Danny McDermid is cleared of swearing at Dennis Wise.

The FA have ruled that referee Danny McDermid did not swear at Dennis Wise during the bitter fought 1-1 draw at Gillingham in September.

Wise incurred a 3-match touchline ban and a £5,000 fine, but he turned the tables on the match official - accusing him of swearing at him and claiming he had witnesses.

Wise was seething after the dismissals of Tresor Kandol and Jermaine Beckford.

But the case against the man-in-black is "not proven" according to our esteemed administrators and the London-based ref will not be punished.

Meanwhile it is rumoured in the Yorkshire Post that left-back Jamie Clapham could be on his way back to Leeds in January. The on-loan Wolves man is due to return to Molineux after tonight's FA Cup 1st round replay with Hereford, but rumour is he will be back again in the New Year.
