Macca silent on "signing"
Wednesday, 16th Jul 2008 13:27

Gary Mac  reckons he is close to adding signing number four of the summer to his squad, but he is keeping his cards close to his chest.

As Leeds prepare to face Galway tonight (7.30pm) in the first hurdle of their Irish tour, Gary McAllister kept the media and fans guessing by revealing that the club have agreed terms for a fourth signing of the summer.

However Macca told the official LUFC website "It's not completed and I would rather wait before I say who it is".

Whether or not we will know before the whites' face Galway, managed by former Southampton and Blackburn man Jeff Kenna remains to be seen.

Macca defended his decision to offer a trial to 36-year-old Paul Telfer, saying "..he is one of the fittest i've ever played with". Macca was a team-mate of his fellow Scot during his Coventry days.

However, we await news of the mystery man....will this be the big signing of the summer we have all craved?....don't hold yer breath!
